White Oak has a medium high degree of color variability and ranges from light tan colors to medium tan colors with a grayish cast to medium brown colors.

Color Change:

White Oak undergoes a medium degree of color change, with a slight ambering over time.

Grain:

Mostly straight-grained with a medium to coarse texture. The grain is distinguished by rays, which reflect light and add to its attractiveness. Many grain patterns are obtained from different sawing or slicing angles.

Characteristics:

Heavy, very strong and very hard. White oak provides great wear-resistance.

Finishing:

Oaks can be stained beautifully with a wide range of finish tones.
